September is a very important month for Monique's Salon. It is National Childhood Alopecia and Cancer Awareness Month. Monique's Salon and all of the staff have joined with Treasured Locks For Children (www.locksforchildren.org) to help raise awareness for all of the children in need.
In 2008, Monique's Salon provided 48 children with wigs or hair pieces in our local area. That is almost one child per week needing all of our help.
We will be trying to raise $10,000 this month and collecting 300 hair donations. This will all go to Treasured Locks For Children and help our local children in the Spokane and Coeur d' Alene area.
